I introduce you to my new laptop. I hope to catch up my blogging with Dorita, the name I've chosen for her. Can you imagine why this is her name? That will be my spring contest: the person who has the right answer before september 21th (spring's day in Argentina) will win one of my necklaces that I sell on Etsy. In order to make you things easier I will post a clue once a week until someone has the right answer. So get your brains into work girls!

Des grands boutons font de l'art
A very creative and wise friend of mine called Claudio Martinez made me this beautiful pieces that I thought I can be inpired. Don't you just love them?
If you want to make something like this, sew great fancy buttons to a very thick paper(he used some red envelopes), and put them as decorations in your walls. You can use different colors but try to make it stylish, otherwise is going to look kitch!

easy living style
like this? I've prepared a small tutorial if you want to make it. I try to reuse this
beautiful branches of a flower called here in Argentina "palo de durazno", and now (starting spring) is it season. I took punch holer with a butterfly image and some light blue paper and VOILA! I just distribute them randomly.
It gives a very soft ambiance, try it!

bias tape tutorial
ok, this is harder to explain than doing it. This is way of having lot of bias tape of the fabric you love, just start with a 50cm square, or even bigger if you need more (not less than that). I hope you will find it easy, if not feel free to ask me any doubts!

Crochet pink bag

This is the story of a bag as I was told. My granma Berta crochet this sort of grocery bag for my mother fifty years ago. When my granma died a couple of years ago, i tried to collect every knitting, crochet or sewed thing made by her as a souvenir of the great women she was. Some of this stuff are still in boxes and every couple of months I open one of them so as to have a new recycling project. This summer (because remember it's the summer down here) I recycled this crochet bag by changing the handles and arrenging some of the flowers. What do you think?
Pieces of me

In case you were wondering how I look... well, this is me at my flat. My boyfriend (also photographer) took me this picture making the bed. I use my place to shoot a production we made for fashion magazine from Buenos Aires www.revista-luz.com.ar

Alguna idea?

The missing pillow

Well, as you've probably seen a couple of post ago, I' ve finished my bed quilt, and I thought that something was missing. I found the hole in my design: some pillows! but they needed to be a little bit more loose than the pattern I had made for the quilt, so I came up with the idea of just compose the fabrics without an order. Look at the pictures and let me know what you think!

2006 calendar into a post-it board (first part)
Well, this is how I came up with the idea: I didn't want to throw away this gorgeous 2006 calendar because of the thick material and also I thougt that I had to take advantage of the fact it already had a hook to hang it on the wall. So during January I kept thinking what the hell I was going to do with it. Then I found some pieces of the wall paper I had in my childhood home (during the 80's), and since I didn't had much of it, I decided to combined it with some modern paper waists. The function of this recycled? a post- it board mixed whith wall paper memories. I did this for both sides of the board and I can turn it over when ever I get tired of the colors.
What do you think?
I bet you could do the same with a good wall hanging and some wall paper.
